Merry Christmas
This week we will celebrate Tobaski and then next week Christmas. I send my greetings to all regular readers of this blog! I wish you a peaceful and relaxing holiday season. Christmas has crept up unannounced. The cues that normally signal the arrival of the season have been missing this year. I have heard no carols, seen very few decorations or lights, have not had to scrape ice off a windscreen or endured long winter evenings or irritating television. But soon I will have guests, a family from my church will arrive here at the end of the week; perhaps they will help me get in the Christmas Spirit! In recent days I have been thinking much about friends in the UK and around the world, as in our various places we prepare for our different celebrations. I miss you, and am so grateful to all who have kept in touch and sustained me through this year – thank you.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL!!
Justin - thank you for keeping us informed so interestingly and with great humour. We have just taken the letter from the football club in Juffureh to Largs Printers to be sent on to Largs United. Our contacts were thrilled. We send you our love and every blessing at this time. We have been listening to one of the signs of approaching Christmas - and it was certainly “a very long slide.”

Jesus is the reason for the season!
Hi Cuz,
Hope you feel Christmassy soon…
Enjoy your ’strangers’ as they visit you next week. I’m sure you’ll have a great time.
We’ll miss you in the land of the Golden Ford, but trust that you will enjoy and celebrate your Christmas African style…
Enjoy the festive break!

Hi Jus
Just got back after a week away and found your Greetings card awaiting us - many thanks for it and its good wishes. We experienced slightly different weather than you, no doubt. We went a week ago to just north of Worthing for Mary,my sister’s 80th birthday party where she took over the local pub/restaurant and particularly the Skittles Alley. Family and friends played skittles in between courses and had an amusing time. After a brief night’s sleep the party continued in her home until after lunch the next day. The weather was appalling - freezing fog the whole time and it did not let up until Boxing day (yesterday) when it changed to rain! We were with Kathryn and her young three in London. Great Christmas with her and splendiid Family Service at her nearby church. Altogether enjoyable but exhausting, so some peace and quiet back home now.
We drank your health on Christams day and thought of you perhaps sunning yourself on a nice beach!
Hope your church family arrived safely and added to the festive spirit.
Cheers - Mike
